Whats the wheel base of a 68 jeepater com.

Can anybody tell me the wheelbase and axle width of a 1968 Jeepster Commando? Thanks

Andy is right, as usual. That year Jeepster/Commando, 1968, was made by Kaiser Jeep. The wheelbase is the same as the CJ-6, 101 inches.

AMC lengthened it to 104 in 1972 in order to fit the 258 I-6 and the 304 V-8 ./wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif

Yup, I second that. The early Jeepsters with the CJ-like grilles were known as the C-101's like we know the Cherokee as the XJ. The later '72-'74 Jeepster Commandos were the C-104's. The number after the C designation is the wheelbase. Early Jeepsters were the VJs and I have no clue what their wheelbases were.
