What\'s a used, complete 4.16 t-case worth?

Trying to get a ballpark idea.

I'm pulling my complete CALMINI 4.16 t-case, along with reinforced t-case arms, and will be putting it on Ebay. Time to go to deeper gears.

The only thing I will be changing is the flanges. I will be removing the large flange and replacing it with smalls (sorry, I need the large) It's a good case, never a problem with mine. What's it worth? What would be a good starting price?

I was thinking $350-400 complete to start the bid. Suggestions?

YT, you won't have any problem getting decent $$ for your 4:1 cases. while it appears that everyone is selling their 4:1s so they can get 6:1s or whatever, the reality is that there are still more people in the market for cheaper used entry level 4:1s than are for sale.

the other factor is there are a high number of zukers who don't want to install their own gears and would prefer to buy one aready done. why they don't want to install their own gears is a mystery to me as they are easy...but nevertheless they are out there.

I have debated installing my own for a while now, but I guess I have reservations because I have never seen a t-case cracked open before. I even snagged an extra t-case, just so I could take as much time as needed, and I wouldn't feel rushed at all. I guess like anything else, it's just the fear of the unknown.

Tim,

These guys don't know what there talking about
, the t-case your going to sell is probably only good to use as a boat anchor - a very small boat!

Anyway you shold probably just drop that t-case in the trash at my house and I'll dispose of it for you properly by placing it behind my 4.16 case in my zuki.

Oh, in that case, I'll be right over to throw it away...

not.

Actually, I got a few emails already of folks trying to snatch it before I Ebay it.

YT, no reason to worry about not getting enough $$ from the 4:1 case is there. as expected, there are tons of people looking for exactly what you have. good luck..as if you'll need it!

Thanks Blue-

OT - gotta laff at your loction tag line, "12 miles of public trails".

You are one up on me. NYS has the largest percentage of land mass in it's state park system, approx. 12% of the entire state, yet does not have a single inch of a 4x4 trail system.

I love NY?

OT here in minnesota they finally opened a state trail system in the northern part of the state, located in the "iron range". the trails are on pure waste land that had been strip mined for years and have virtually no value. there are tons of miles to this trail system but to my knowledge only 12 of those miles are open for off-road vehicals....the rest are for quads and bikes. someday i will go check it out but with only a few miles available, it is not high on my priority list.

strange that there are not any public trails in NY. outstate NY has some of the most beautiful countryside found anywhere and would be nice for some trails. guess the eco nazis have some serious power in NY.

The biggest part of the problem is the Adirondack Park and Wilderness, which has the "forever wild" clause. No logging, no clearing downed trees, no nothing. They can't even cut fire breaks.

auto > Kicker 3 > 5.14 > 4.88's (stepping down from 5.12s to a more course grind)

Was thinking about 6.5's, but that might be a tab bit much with weenie 35's.

ahhh, sweet. I was going to use my 6:1's but thought it would be too low for me. I want to be able to be in low-low and still have some wheel speed. The 5.1:1 should be a nice combo
