HI, I though it would be a interesting post to see what size tires you are running on your rigs.

my Samurai is running 31x10.5 r15 BFG AT's on 15x8 2.5 BS rims.

What's on your rigs?

Hi Rich, I'm running 30x9.5x15 Radial RVTs. Anything larger would rub with my SPUA YJ setup. And I refuse to go SPOA cause of the headaches. Perhaps with 4" lifted springs I could get 32s under there? Next project!

Re: What size tires are you all running on your ri

On one Samurai, I have 215/60-15 weenie tires on stock rims. The other one has 33x14.50 Super Swamper SSRs on 2.0-inch backspaced 15x10's, which after a couple years I still feel are the best tires ever made. And since installing these tires, I haven't broken a Birfield yet! My old 33's caused me to break several (4 or 5) but with the SSRs, I can be a lot easier on the throttle since the tires just stick so well to whatever terrain I'm on! I can idle up most stuff instead of having to romp on the gas. But for anyone considering these SSRs, be forewarned, they're easily a size larger than a standard tire; these measure about 1 inch taller and 3 inches wider than my old 33x12.50 Cordovan Radial RVTs, which were not small 33's. These 33" SSRs are about the same height as the 35" Baja Claws.

Geoff, you need to post a head to head picture of your rig with those new whacker flairs on it...

thanks all for the information, I was thinking that you all ran larger than 31" tires, but I can see from this posting
that the median size is 31" that most of you are running...

cool looking rigs that you all posted...

thanks

Re: What size tires are y\'all running on your rig?

I got 32x11.50x15 courser MTs on 10" Centerline Hellcats.
They don't hold the bead well at all if I air down, but I got all 5 cherry rims for 200$ couldn't pass at the time. I need to go wider on the tires or get new rims now.
Can you say 33x14 boggers?

Ok - current tires are 235/75R15 Big O bigfoot XT's
new ones, that are going on after I swap to 'real' axles, are Power King Super All Trac's, 900x16 ( approx 34.25x10" flotation size) I've used the Power Kings under a Number of Rovers, and can tell you that the grip on a lugged, siped, and studded tire like this is just incredible. the narrow width makes them way easier to handle on road than a normal mud tire.

DD - the 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern is for my axle swap/s: Front XJ high pinion Dana 30, rear Ford 8.8", not for any kind of suzuki axle.
