Ok, think of swapping with AJ, I need to know which setup is better for the rear here are the 2 senarios

#1-
Rusty's 4.5" leaf packs
Rusty's 2" Shackles
.5" block
TOTAL= 7"

OR

#2
Rusty's 6" leaf packs
Revolver shackles (.75" of lift)
TOTAL- 6.75" of lift

Pretty even, I have senario #1 currently and am thinking of switching to senario #2, Whatta ya think?

Thanks,

Todd

from what i think, shackles direct wieght force downward through the leaf and through the wheel giving traction. The revelover has the ability to move backward horizontally giving more articulation, but also direct wieght force in different amounts during different times downward and also rearward. The times when the revolver is directing alot rearward can actually prevent enough downard force to keep traction and making it up the obstacle. I may be totally wrong, but this is what I see as the pros and cons of each in my head. Sorry if I am wrong and didn't mean to mislead since this isn't a hypo post but are real desicion.

A .5 BLOCK WILL NOT HURT YOU IN ANY WAY WHAT SO EVER, YES IT INCREASES THE TOURQUE TO S YOUR LEAF SPRINGS BUT IT AINT GONNA HAPPEN WITH A MEASILY .5 .ANY BLOCKS MORE THAN 2 INCHES ARE BAD IMO

DOES ANYONE ACTUALLY OWN AND WHEEL WITH REVOLVER SHACKLES? THEY SEEM GOOD BUT FROM WHAT IM HEARING THEY MIGHT NOT BE

Hey eventhough I want to sell my springs I'm honest about it, revolvers SUCK! The most common complaint I hear from guys is how they unload while trying to go up a steep embankment and this loses a lot of rear wheel traction. I could try and explain the physics of it but I'm not qualified. This isn't something I read from a mallwheeler but from guys who do a lot of hardcore rockcrawling, I trust their opinions.

First, TAKE THE DAMN CAPS LOCK OFF!

Second, blocks will slip around on the perch, causing the hole for the centering pin to wallow. Eventually, the pin will get stressed and break - not fun to spit leafs on the trail or on the street. The only way blocks could be used safely is if they are welded or bolted to the perch.

WOO HOO! Support on the Nate (bevis) front, thanks AJ, granted Nate's my best friend we still like to pick on each other, you should see us drunk and talking about Liberty's (which he likes) HEHE.

Thanks,

Todd
