What Quad\'s should we buy ?

Me and my brother want new ATV's coz we got bored on the one's we have now.

My brother and I ride ATV's all our lifes, I'm 14 and my brother is 8.

My brother has a LT-50 and can do almost any stunt/trick on it, even wheelie and 2-wheeler.

I have a Yamaha Badger and can do any trick. Even very high wheelie's.

My brother can also operate my Badger very good, he ceeps it very good under controle at top speed.

And I want something that has:
-Strong power.
-High speed.
-Very good suspension.
-And user friendly.

I was thinking of a Suzuki Z-250, Honda 250EX, Yamaha Blaster or even a Suzuki Z400 or Yamaha Raptor 660R.
And my brother wants a Yamaha Raptor 80 or something like that.

My ATV also has to be usable for my father and has to have some good HP.

And also tell the reasons why you recommend that ATV.

Thank you.

Well, I'm only interested in Yamaha, Suzuki and Honda.
I heard that Kawasaki's frame's are bad.
A friend of mine had a KFX400 and in a few months the frame broke, he now has a KFX700 and he's 16 years old.

I think i'll take the Z-250.

Don't forget that that KFX400 is a Green Suzuki Z-400... As for the z-250, I'm not so sure about turning a utility quad (Ozark 250) in to a sport quad... maybe it would work.. my Eiger 400 will really move, but I don't think it would take to jumping too well. The did redo the suspension on the Z-250 to give it more travel.

semi-auto-clutch means no clutch lever, but has a shifter. A 250EX will set you back $3800. The 170 Kasea or 175 Blast (same quad) is $2500, with a manual clutch, 5-speed, rear disk brake, 7+ inches of travel, Showa shocks, electric start, & combined with being super reliable, a great deal. The Kasea/Blast will do about 50-52 MPH. But, you can gear it up to about 56MPH with a 13T countershaft sprocket.

your probly right about getting bored with the z-250 and it would probly be to small for your dad.

yo should get a honda 300EX but your dad says he only likes shaft driven quads? so i would eather convince him to get a chain drive or get a honda 250EX.

and its not crazy for you to go from an 80 to a 400 or something i meen you 14!!

Don't forget the bombarier ds650 is avaliable too.

and for your brother you should probly get him a dinli helix 100 or a 90 or sumthin, but not the trx 90 its a pull start and those suck!!and most all youth quads are chain driven

Re: What Quad\'s should we buy ?

you and ice should just leave the board.........you think that the kid can handle a high preformance machine going froma youth model comon now, stick to the 250range atvs then move up from there you are probably not ready so stick to the smaller bikes and PLEASE STOP ASKING STUPID QUESTIONS!

and the trx 90 is a very good bike for a youth bike your just freakin lazy if you cant pull start

And ice you say that the 400ex will be too much for your skilles but you talk as if that you can handle a kfx/z when the kfx/z has more power and speed and quadmaster what ever a ds650 omg,go to bed its gettin late

Re: What Quad\'s should we buy ?

First thing , my dad is to big for the Badger and I am bigger than my dad. I'm 70.9 inch.

The new quad will be bought maybe next year, and then i'm almost 16. And must not get bored on the new ATV, It has to keep me hapy the rest of my life.

I think my brother can keep the Yamaha Badger. When he gets bored on it he can also get an other quad. I don't think a Breeze will be good for him right now.

And is a 400EX faster than a KFX400 ?

Yes I said that, But then I tought that my dad meant to buy a new quad right now, but now he said over a year. So that changes the whole situation.
So i'm sorry, I should have said that we are going to buy over a year.
