Does anyone know what kind of AC Delco oil filter I need to use for my '83 I6-258. I read the last set of post about oil filters and I won't use Fram anymore. It sounded like Ac Delco was one of the best and they both sell at WalMarts. All they have are the old books, not the computer system, that tells you what to use. I looked up what I think it is but if someone can tell me that would be great.

What you can do is pick up the oil filter from Fram that you know will fit the 258. A lot of times there is a cross reference printed on the filter carton that lists the other brand's part numbers. It should list one for AC Delco. /wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif
