So, I helped out a Jeeper.
Couldn't resist showing some Helena hospitality.

I found out about this adventure while doing a blanket search for Montana folks on the forum.
Here's a related thread from this forum with pics. here. Make sure you check out the "Helena" page under latest updates.

Met a really nice guy, Jeeper2 (that would be "John" in the story) from the Jeep Short Wheelbase forum that's also living in the Helena area.
Anyway, I was just glad to help with this adventure.
It is good reading if you take the time.

And, you get to see a few pics of the area we live in.

Very cool Doug. Did you ask John if he was familiar with Frontier4x4 or other local clubs?

You mean you didn't give'em the scoop on all the truck avenger and carb tuning tips/tricks?

Oh, I saw the list on "suggested" items bought for the trip back with The Dog, did they actually buy all that?

I got the impression that they didn't have to buy any of that stuff.

4 Wheel Drive Hardware provided it. Pretty nice huh?
here.

I did ask John about Frontier 4X4, but don't think he knew of it.
Funny thing, at one point in time that night, we got on the discussion of the T.A.
Again, it was a "I've heard of that, but haven't seen one."
I threw in my .02 cents (more like a dollar's worth) about my experience.

The wife, dogs, and I checked out that area where they camped after "the fix".
Wow! Cool place! We spent a couple hours exploring in that area.
There's some gnarly hills over there.
Thank goodness for lockers at both ends, and those new MT/R's.
Not only was the wife amazed, but I about needed clean shorts after climbing (and descending) a few of those hills.

Till a freegin' hail storm rolled in and we had to get out of there!

That area is about 10 minutes from our place.
Going back for some action pics.
