What GEARS to put in a 1/2 ton with 40\" CEPEKS?

I have 40 fun country's on my '84 blazer. I want to have enough power to pull a small boat when I need to and I also have a 700r4 overdrive tranny. I have a 12 bolt rear and a 10 bolt up front. Isn't there a formula or something?

I would say 4.88's or 5.16's
and I also would not waste the money putting expensive gears and labor into those axles.
You would be much better off finding some 1 tons (D60 front, and a 14 bolt FF rear, or a D60 rear)

(Hey spellcheck just tryed to correct "FF" with "fiance"/wwwthreads_images/icons/laugh.gif)
