What else can I do about this tire place?

I need a little advice on what to do about this company that destroyed my swampers. I had them put on the 37" boggers 2 days ago, and in the process they mangled my 35" ssr's. 2 of the tires were shot, one had a bubble in the side, another had a tear in the sidewall, so I'm only concerned about the 2 good ones. Plus, the jeep starts shaking violently at 35 mph. It's so bad the doors, hood, shifter, everything starts shaking, and it almost makes you sick to your stomach. I know boggers aren't going to ride like a lexus, but this is ridiculously out of balance. The owner of the shop was a real jerk and wouldn't even discuss it, he actually walked into the back of the shop so he wouldn't have to. I had already paid before I noticed the tears or had driven on the new ones, and he wouldn't refund it. I called my credit card company and they told me the charge was still pending and I'd have to wait a few days to dispute the charges, which they agreed was a bad deal. That is only $80 though. I'm having to take it to another tire place to have them rebalanced on monday or tuesday, whenever I can. So I'll still be out 2 35" ssr's and the cost of another balance. Is there anything I can do to make this place pay for their mistake?

That place is BS!! This might help with what you have now. Put the tire that took the most weight to balance on the right rear. When my TSLs were mounted 2 took 16 ounces of lead a piece!! You won't notice the woble in the back as much as in the front.

The BBB gets all over these guys. It might take a week or so but the offending store will contact you to set things right after recieving a notice from the BBB.
The BBB is relentless, they have hepled me numerous times. These business owners think that consumers dont have the focus or patience to mount a long campaign to make things right. Go to their web site and fill out the form. Dont get made get even. Oh heres a tip what ever you put on the form to the BBB is copied to the business so if you really want to work it out keep it nice.

post the companies name and location on the BBS, so we can start a small boycott. It may not be much, but if you can keep them from ruining some other jeepers' day it is worth it. Then if the BBB doesn't help, think about small claims court. Usually this will scare them into compensation.

good luck

having bucked tires of ra while ill voice my imput. what did they do to exactly destroy the tires? did the bead breaker punch a hole in the side?
boggers will tak a lot of weight. i had two 33 inch TSL's that took over 3 lb's a peice. remmber the tires will wobble till they get worn in a circle instead of the square lugs it has. ill trade you a set of like new(800 miles) 36x14.50 TSL radials if your that unhappy.
the above pic is the one of my TSL radials, the below is my TSL's on my Zuk. it also had weights half way around the edge, but i pried those off when it turned into a trail only rig.

Yeah where are these jerks at anyway! I would make them pay, even if it meant standing outside of there shop on my days off picketing them, just get a couple of your buddies to go with you. One picketer looks like a flack but you get a couple and it makes people think "Maybe a shouldn't take my business to that place." I bet you you would have them buying new tires and everything just to get you out of their.

The companies name is BLACKJACK TRUCK ACCESSORIES. It came up as G&W truck accessories with the BBB so they must have changed names at some point. They are located in Lees Summit, Missouri off 50hwy and 291hwy.
BurnedBronco, the tires they destroyed were the 35" ssr's that I was going to sell to a friend so he'd only have to buy 2 new ones. And yes, they tore holes in them with their machine, and whatever else. Huge chunks out of the beads, holes torn all over the tires, one was big enough I could almost put my hand through it! I got to looking at the weights today, and it's just crazy how they are on there. Most of them look like they are about to fall off, some are overlapping the weights beside them. I'm used to lots of weights being on there, the 35's had them about 1/3 of the way around, plus some stick on's, but they drove just fine. You wouldn't even believe how bad it is unless you rode in it. I'll take some pics of the weights so you can see, but it's kinda nasty outside right now. I should have kept the tires to show you how bad they tore them up.

how the hell did they get torn all around?
what kind of climate are you in. did the bead melt to the rim some and wouldnt let go when they put the breaker on causing it to rip and push it into the sidewall?

Here is what we do at our shop , we run the tire on the balancer and mark how much and where the weight is going to go , then the tire is dismounted and a balance patch is installed inside the tire and the tire is mounted right back to the same place on the wheel and then re-checked . This is only done on the larger more problematic off-road tires . We would never let a customer leave with shodily applied weights and such . Not if we want to continue being in business .

You say you got rid of the torn up tires? Bad move, I hope you took some pictures at least. How are you going to prove to anyone that they were ruined? I hope that when the BBB gets in touch with the guy, he will just fork over the cash.
Get those tires back if you can.

Good luck.
