Ok all you TJ guys, I am a long time CJ5 addict who fairly recently went over to the dark side, got rid of the 5 and bought a TJ. Funny how things like comfort and A/C can tempt an old fat guy. With my CJ5 I always knew what spare parts to pack, but this TJ is kind of a mystery in that respect. So... in your esteemed opinions what are the top 3 spare parts you would carry for a 99 TJ (4.0/AX15). I'm talking those things that will leave you 50 miles afoot in the desert if you don't have a spare. And, I'm not looking for the obvious things like belts, fuses etc.

I'm right there with you groundhog. I've spent the last 10 tears in a Samurai. Borrowed a fellow club members TJ for a 12o mile trip and the wife said " this is nice". Now I own a TJ 4.0, 5spd, AC and wondering what to carry

Spare axle shafts. Especially if you have the dreaded d35c.

Honestly ive only owned my TJ for a bit over a year and have had it out on the trail atleast twice a month since I bought it. So far the only significant problem im having is the transfer case making some horrible noises. Ive heard rumor that its the chain rattling around from being stretched. Other than that I havent broke anything. I always carry spare ujoints, serp belt, and a radiator hose. I'll have to wait for my learning curve to kick in after that.
