Last year, i used Wiseco .020"pistons and they seemed fine for the season. I recently blew a head gasket which melted the right piston. I have found that it is the head stud that loosened up, plus i let the coolant level get too low, so probably not the pistons fault.

At any rate, i went with Pro X .040" replacements, and just got back from the first break in trip. Too soon to tell of their durability.

While youve got the motor apart, get the cylinders ported, you can FEEL the difference big time!
