Okay, I was under the impression from reading a couple sources that a 90 Bronco II 4x4 would have a Dana 35 TTB and the 28 spline 8.8" rear axle. Now a friend is raising doubts about that. Anyone care to straighten me out? I'm kinda trolling for a project beater 4x4. Gotta love the BII's.

okay in 90 they started making dana 35 not neccesarily standard equipment. Check the bolt pattern on drain cover. if its 12 bolts its a 28 if its ten bolts its a 35, and a spicer would say spicer on the front of it.

depends on the year it should say on the tag on the cab door, although 83-87 there marked 7.25 when there realy 8.8

also theres a tag on the reaer axle, and the axle code tells you your gear ratio too.

all in how you drive, if i was rock crawling id preffer the 35 or 44, but i mudd and the 28 doesnt get that much torche against it so i dont worry, plus its half the weight of the dana 35.
