Weird Tranny....................

This is in regards to my last post about my wierd tranny..................I got out to the parking lot today and decided what the hell lets see what she does......I turned it on and put in in drive and it worked, pulled forward 10 feet, and put her in reverse..........it worked. I didn[t want to push it anymore............does that help anybody in diagnosing my problem? Could it be that I am just low on fluid? and it settled down over night and worked today? Thanks

there is no way to tell exactly what happened.

for sure if it was slipping and you floored it, there was some friction material lost, hopefulyl not enough to kill it.

change the fluid, and filter, let us know what they both look and smell like, and let us know whats in the pan, there should be a magnet in there, it probably has alot of fuzzy metal particles on it..

do those things, and cross your fingers, oh yeah, and check the fluid when its acting up!
