i recently purchased a 1997 Yamaha Warrior in excellent condition pretty cheap. The Color Scheme is green and red. One of my friends said that the 97 colors were blue/white, and black/yellow, and that the 94-95 were green/red. Whats the deal, did i get screwed or is he wrong? I didn't get the owner's manual or prior registration. And isn't thier suppose to be a back-up starter on warriors??

I'm not sure of the colors, I can check my brother clymers manual tomorrow and get back to you. The Warriors didn't come with a back up starter after '89 I think. I think the new 2000 Wolverines have the same engine and they have the pull starts so if you wanted you could intall one on yours. I'll get back to you later after I find my brothers manual

no there isnt supposed to be an back-up starter only the electiric start, the owner could have bought new plastic for it which i think he did becuase i cant see how yamaha would make a green and red quad

Yamaha Made these colors from 94 up, but i am not sure if they made it in 1997 or not, it is the stock plastic. Thanks for the info on the starter.

my friend has a 97 that is teal and red. I thought it was unusually colored myself.

Thanks for information. I went to a dealership and asked about it. They said that thier the teal or green/red warrior were boughten earlier in the season and discontuined the color after spring. But the color scheme is on warriors from 94-95 also.
