I tried to contact a local Ford parts dealer to help me with indentifiying my Vin Code. It's an '85. The guy says my number is maybe too old for his system but would make another check and get back. I still haven't heard, but what does the TRANS code K stand for? And is there a simple way to determine the gear ratios? (turn wheel and count shaft rotation?) The sticker says axel is H6. They both have bone-yard paint marks and I wonder if they could be geared different. What's TTL stand for? Thanks

List your complete vin# and I'll see what I can do.
Your trans is a C6 by the way

The VIN is 1FMEU15H5FLAxxxxx. My trouble is - I too am only getting 7MPH in city. Since the tuneup and carb rebuild, the motor sounds good. Has quick responce and equal compresion (125), but couldn't spin the 31"s. Just wondering about the drivetran. It feels like it needs another gear. I feel third but RPM's at 55 are 2700. You can almost watch the fuel guage drop.
