Very simple driveshaft question. What\'s wrong?

I have a rear cv driveshaft. I pulled it in half the other day to install a urethane dust boot. Technically, there are only two correct positions that the two pices of the shaft can fit back together and drive properly (each position is 180 degrees off the other).
I put it back together in one of those two correct positions, but now I have a vibration. Does this mean I chose the wrong of the two possbile positions?
It was a new shaft, freshly beefed up by a shop so I hadn't used it yet so I'm wondering if it wasn't balanced correctly or if it was balanced in the position that I DIDN'T reassamble it in. Or maybe the way I reassembled it won't affect anything.
Who knows?

Yes...you probably got unlucky of the 50/50 guess...there should be two marking points if you look close on the separate shafts...usually and arrow and a straight line that match up.

I'm not afraid of dying...I'm scared of not living

this is very possible. slip yokes develop a wear pattern very quickly so if you put it on 180 out you are running against the wear pattern. also if there are any weights on the yoke you throw your shaft way out of balance.

Done! That was the problem. It runs like a champ now.
