Had an unusual loud tapping under the valve cover today when I parked. not the usual tap from my 89 but loud. turned it off and restarted and hasnt come back. anyone know what thats all about. richie

My mom's old Mustaing would do that when her oil was low. The lifters would colapse for lack of oil. She would just add a quart and everything would be fine until the next time the 'staing got thirsty.

thats what I was first thinking. oil good and so is the pressure. hope its just one of those freak things. richie
