I'm having a new engine put in my 96 k2500 Suburban I'm not sure which engine it had but I know it lists a 10,000 lb tow rating. My issue is that the turbo was seized and the 1 sent by the wrecking yard is different. Mine has a vacuum port for the waste gate on the turbo and the 1 sent doesn't. Is this because the turbo came out of a truck that had the vacuum port on the intake? I'm trying to take my Burb on a road trip starting on Sunday in a couple of days otherwise I would return the turbo and order a Reman unit. The Diesel shop that is doing the work is very reputable and they think they can make this work any ideas. Please help.
