When I was installing home/business alarms I used a tone generator with an inductive amplifier to trace wires in walls and what not. I'm curious if anyone has done this on a vehicle and whether or not it has any repercussions to the vehicles computer and the such. Anyone? Anyone?

1. Wiring in a house is usually isolated,
2. To a "Series" circuit,
3. That's not true of a Automotive Circuit,
4. As it's got a bazillion devices,
5. Hanging off each circuit,
6. That could confuse the tone generator,
7. Now if you could segment the wiring,
8. It would be a different story,
9. But then you'd not need the generator...
