i thought i had heard that they made ujoints that one side of the cross was different than the other like a ujoint with sides that are both like 1330 series and 1310 series. this is rather than replace the yoke on an amc model 20 rear and worry about sesetting pinion bearing preload and that crush sleave thing. is this true, that the make ujoints like this? i dont see why they wouldnt.

if anyone wanted to know, randys ring and pinion carries the adapter u joint as well as many other sizes and they said they were $16. heck, thats about as cheap as normal ujoints, i guess i wont switch the yoke.

I'm using a Spicer cross joint on the rear as the yoke is a few sizes larger than the shaft. It cost $23 installed at a local brake shop up here.
