A good set would come in handy, I think I'd want to be able to change them from a dirt to a street helmet when I needed to.

 

I was looking at some mabey a year ago and they looked like they could/would swap very easy.... I ended up getting those family band walk-e-talke's
But now with my kids riding I want to get the helmet raidos

 

A buddy of mine and I ride together both on the street and dirt (he rides my KLX), it would be great to be able to communicate. He's a way more aggressive (rude and obnoxious could be substituted here)(but I've known the guy for over 15yrs),guy on the street, than I am, so when he's splitting lanes, hauling a$$, and takes an exit, he can tell me about it

On the other hand, when I leave him miles behind on the trail, we can still talk.

 

Methinks I've seen an ad for a Canadian company that makes helmet radios. I'll check it out.

Ya... I looked at the site real quick then when I went back I was dissapointed. It's kinda cool they use the raidos I already have though....

But just not having to push a button would be WAY better

 

I live in the U.S. and motorola make good radios, a buddy and I bought a couple of the better ones, they have the voc (voice activated) feature. havn't tried them yet ridding, but will in a couple of weeks , cobra also makes the five mile ones
