Finally got my set up almost done. How need to remember which of the twin sticks does what. is the outside passenger sid stick the one that engages the front diff unit?

Also on the TH400 trans. When the engine is not running, and you are in reverse or drive the drive shaft should only turn one way. Reverse is one direction and drive is another? If is that way, I got big problems.

Thanks for help in advance.

I can't remember which stick does what, but somebody will.
In an auto trans, with the engine not running, you may be able to spin the trans both ways.
Or, if this is in the vehicle, and the transfer case is installed, maybe you have the transfer case in nuetral.

I hope this will help.
I recently had a twin stick conversion performed on my 72 Commando. I have the T400 tranny with a Dana 20 T/C with Teraflex 3:15 gears. With the twin stick with the tall stick (nearest the driver it has three positions rear position - 2wdhigh , middle - neautral, and foreward 2wdlow. The shorter stick rear position is neautral, foreward position 4wdlow. I no longer have 4wdhigh. I was informed of this after the install, but does not seem to be a real loss at this time, and the addition of 2wdlow is nice to have when having to turn in confined areas as I am equiped with limited slip in the front and a detroit in the rear.

I don't follow why you no longer have 4wd high? If the two sticks just move the shift rods indepentently, but to the same positions as before you should have 4wd high.

Dave Caver's article indicates he still has it.
Just curious?????

Brad.
