/wwwthreads_images/icons/frown.gif Hey!... My Microsoft Internet Exploder just yelled at me!/wwwthreads_images/icons/frown.gif It won't let me on the page because it says the page will cause me anxiety if I can't afford to do the upgrades that are shown./wwwthreads_images/icons/frown.gif

I never believe any statistics unless my moonguys /wwwthreads_images/icons/crazy.gif/wwwthreads_images/icons/wink.gif made 'em up themselves.
Great page...I am using IE 5.0 and it pulled up perfect. Some of the pictures in that section didn't load, and there was no info on the Jeep info page, but it looks like you have a good start on a great page. I bookmarked it and will check back in.
Looks like not everyone's ISP's DNS servers have updated and picked up the jeepgod.net domain. I can't get it through my AT&T dial-up or my frac-T1 at work. Anybody got the IP address? That'll work for sure...
When I asked for criticism on my newest site, I wanted people to suggest changes and offer suggestions. Hope you feel the same way because that's what I am going to do.
Your first site looks better than my first one, BTW. /wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif
Let me also say that I have been having some speed problems with my own personal computer in the last week or two, so that needs to be taken into consideration too.
Suggestions:
1) The diamond plate background needs to be lined up a little better. Don't know what size picture you are using to make the background, but it needs to be adjusted so that each tile lines up for a seamless appearance. And it is a little overpowering making the text a little harder to read. This might be nit pickey. If so, I appologize in advance.
2) Your larger pictures take too long to load. Again this might be partly my system. If you can crop them and reduce the resolution to the point that the finished file is less than 35k and hopefully around 20k or less, it will load much faster. Doesn't improve anything for the site to provide a picture of very high resolution, photo grade, when the monitors can only produce half that or less. All it does it take more time to download. You might check the size of your background file too - the diamond plate. It should be around a couple of inches square or less and 2k to 4k in size.
Hope this helps.
I have copied one of your pictures, cropped it and reduced it to 19k. It is attached above. Click on it and see how quickly it loads.
hey doug.. yes i have been thinking along those lines myself. i am slowly improving it each night after work. and to everybody else.. i have had some problems on and off myself. sometimes it works and others it doesnt, but mostly it has worked. i will contact the host friday, and see what i come up with. and to everyone else.. please critique me.. i am looking for a somewhat simplistic look that is fast to load, yet informative. i am getting together some info for the jeep info page. bear with me.. i am learning html as i do this, and have a friend that is reluctantly helping out. so say some thanx to Devin also. thank you good jeep people.
