So correct me if im wrong, but would that classify as a 22-point roll cage or what? Well, maybe more, but that is a boat-loat of points.

How many people are you going to be able to sit in there?

And I see you will be entering Dukes of Hazard style, right on!

Lol, yeah something like that. Yeah, it's full nascar style

. That way when I go rolling down a mountain end over end all I have to do is shut my eyes and hold on
Image
. Oh, and it's a 3 seater. The radiator and fuel cell are going in the rear.

I don't know about you guys, but i think this guy has too many projects!!! Pick a project and get it done!!!

So when are you gonna stop playing with autocad and install that SFA swap kit? You ever get the springs for that worked out?

Geez, everyone wishes they had your projects......

The worst is having a daily driver that would pay for another daily driver project if sold, but parents that won't let you do it! I want to build an old school burban SOOO bad. The worst part is we had one that i could have been driving if i had just gotten my license a year earlier

My parents will never live down the fact that they sold my favorite truck of all times!

Well, we were thinking more along the lines of custom independent in the front, and 4 link rear someday, but not soon. As of right now it has 2.5" rear lift springs, Comp. Engineering rear traction bars and frame connectors. New wheels and tires are coming soon. I'm paranoid about the engine, first one I have ever built and I'm a bit nervous

I always figured the money put in to a big-dollar 4 link rear and subframe with a mega-dollar 12 bolt was a bit excessive. Plus, those cars are known to handle pretty poor compared to the third and fourth generation Camaros. I always thought it'd be cool to take a 67-69 or a 70-81 (split bumper of course) camaro and build a complete different chromoly frame modeled after the racing third generation using a 14bolt SF for the rear end.

Those wheels that are on it look pretty good, what's wrong with them?

Yeah, I know how it is about putting together a motor. I'm one of those people that say "did I drop something in there?" "where's my welder's marker?" "did I remember to get all the pipe cleaners out of the passageways?" "did I check the ring end gap on cylinder #whatever?"

Lol, you think thats bad, when I installed the rear cam bearing, I even stuck a piece of wire down the oil passage just to make sure I got the oil hole right and I'm still paranoid I got it wrong
Image
. Oh yeah, I pulled the oil pan off and torqued the mains and rod caps like 6 times cause I was sooooooo sure I missed some each time

I don't know if you follow the circut or not, but back in the early 90's, thier were 2 fake yenko camaro's that were back halfed. they ran low 8's and one of them won fastest street car. His name was Danny Scott. The other guys name was Rick Dyer. I'm freinds with Rick and he sets up a lot of camaros for 1/4 mile. They used a 4 link set up in those cars (one was teal, other yellow). In fact, he likes the 69 front sub so much, he is building a 49 caddy with the sub from a 69 camaro, the car will have a 540ci and twin turbos and weigh almost 5000 lb's. He wants to get it in the low 10's. Any way if ya let me know, I can hook you up with info and some parts if ya need. He works for C.A.R.S. inc. so he's got acess to a lot of $hit

14SF? WHY, go 40 spline 9" rear..14SF is strong but parts availability, etc. besides, the 9" is super duper strong and easy to find.

morally wrong to stick flord parts in a gm vehicle.

a SF14 is really strong anyway. it's probably cheaper to get high-end parts for it than a ford 9". and droppable ford 9" axles are rare anyway. i'd rather spend the money beefing a 12 bolt than stick a ford 9" in.
