New, with your size, I would look at one of those bombardier quads. I hear that they are a hot dune bike.

the bombadier is not all that....stay with honda or yamaha....if u want new look at the raptor...it is a 4 stroke...or a banshee....it is a 2 stroke...

The honda is ok...but I am a yamaha man...the bombadier is just too big and is not worth the money....just my humble opinion....

I live in Maine and have never been to AZ.,we have lots of steep rocky rugged terrain and plenty of deep mud, the 500 Polaris sportsman rules in my part of the country, I've ridden with them all and logged on thousands of miles and the Polaris is the way to go.

With the Bombardier there are some questions about it's handling. I've only ridden one in the parking lot! My 400ex is great but I think the DS650 will ride all over it in the desert since it has so much more power tho not low end. Simple answer for the desert....elsewhere is not so easy to decide!! Hope that helps...................

 

bottom line if you are going to run in the desert and you want new....run either a banshee or the raptor...the 400EX is ok...but the bombadier just has not had enough good things said about it...they are bulky...and if you do decide to hit any trails....it is a good chance it will be to big for them...
stay with good machines...
