i currently have a T-4, four speed trany and want a fith gear. it's in a 1983 cj7 which came with both the T-4 and T-5 tranys. i thought that the cheepest and easiest thing to do would be to put in a T-5. i figured that they would be very simular in size and how they bolt up. my question is how do they fit. are there any mods. that have to be made, or is it a weekend project?

yes.. it bolts right up.. no problems..works good..just make sure you get a t-5 from a jeep and it should only take the same time it takes you to change a clutch

I will sell you my T-5 for cheap, it needs some work, maybe a re-build?? I don;t know but right now it works fine. I will give you all it, Centerforce II disc and pressure plate, shifter, bellhousing, everything. E-mail me [email protected]
