I replaced gaskets and shift bushing in my 87 samurai,put everything together and when i'm in 3rd gear feels like 2nd,when in 4th gear feels like 3rd and so on.in 5th gear at 60mph i am almost redlined.do the gears have to vbe aligned if so how?also i can't put transfer case in neutral,when in neutral position stays in 4wd high gear.there is a metal cylinder about 4 inches from shifter that seems loose,and is attached to a spring.is this a poppet andif it is what does it do and is it suppose to be loose.took apart transfer case for the second time,want to get it right this time thanks gabe
