trans. upgrade

what should i replace the manual 5 speed trans. with in 87 wrangler when it dies? and the rings are going, fast, in my engin......who has the best price and best costmer service on rebuilts...looking for a long block. does most of these engin come already tested and balanced? what are the main parts i will have to swap off of the old engin...if you have not guessed, first timmer! thanks.

As far as the trans goes, what kind of wheeling do you do. For instance, for rock crawling the only choice if you have a choice is an auto. But, what engine do you have, if it is a 6 the auto would be the way to go.
