I have a 1983 CJ7/258/T-999. I want a five speed tranny, and I can't afford the NV4500. What years AX-15 will bolt to my 258? What's the number for Advanced Adapters for any adapters I may need? Will the pedals and shifter work? I need to know what I'm getting into.

Look for your previous post, I already answered you. The adpter that you need for an AX-15 to D300 is a CUSTOM piece that you have to have made.

instead of the ax-15 you should try the t-5.. wont need an adapter if you get one from a jeep. where are you? i have one in my storage unit. i am in north carolina on the coast.. if that helps. you need to consider that you will probably need new driveshafts.. most manuals are shorter than the automatics.
i have those also.. somewhere out there in jeephaven..aka storage unit. and you will need the pedal assembly.. that bolts up under the dash.. have an extra one of those also.. jeesh.. what dont i have... mmm... might consider emptying that thing out.. as soon as the jeep is built.. hope this helps you some.
you will also need the clutch linkage.. and yes.. i have that also.
