I am installing it as I type, but I got a few questions, how do I fill this thing up with tranny fluid once we are all done. THe reason I ask is becuase I am not sure if there is fluid in htere already. So can I jusat poor the fluid straight in? Or do I have to have the Jeep running? And is it ok to run it without any fluid in there? Um what else. oh, what fluid do I put into my trans case? THe book said Dextron 2 the same as in the tranny, but I put Dex 3 in the tranny. Can I just use that? Other thn that I think we are gettin it in fine. Having a lil trouble getting everything all lined up, but I am sure that will come togetther easy. Thatnks

I'm ignorant about automatical transmissions, so I sure wouldn't put anything in other than what the manufacturer recommends. And I wouldn't try to drive it without juice either. Every auto I've ever seen was filled through the dipstick tube using a small funnel.

I would put in enough for it to show on the dipstick, then follow the manufacturer's procedure for checking and adding fluid.

1. Yep, it's through the dipstick tube.
2. Pour it in till it reaches the full mark on the dipstick,
3. Then start the Jeep and work the gears,
4. But not too long,
5. Just go from Park to 1st and back to neutral,
6. Then shut off the engine,
7. Refill and repeat steps 2 - 7,
8. You want it to be at the full mark in Neutral.
