I went to the local Napa store today to get some studs for my future tranny pan skidplate project, filter and gasket for the pan and to try and find a nut and plug to put onto the pan to make draining it simpler in the future. I was delighted to find out that they stocked a bolt on drain plug kit (Napa PN 704-1914) for the aplication. Here's how it looks on mine installed. With the mandatory Ford Blue.

I just took a 7/16ths drill and worked it out untill I could thread the plug in there. It's a machined piece that is like a bolt and a nut and two gaskets (inner and outer) The bolt is drilled through the center and tapped with a small bolt which is the drain plug itself. The drain plug part has a small O ring gasket as well. Real easy. I had it on there in about 5 minutes. Napa PN 704-1914 $4.49
