80 mph! There is no way my Zuk would stay in one piece if I got it up to that speed. 60 is about the most mine will do and thats goin down hill with the wind on the back...haha.

95 mph?

We took a picture of my brother's speedometer when he hit 90mph. It was down a long hill, drafting a big rig the whole way.

I don't think I would ever want to try that again!

 

this has been covered many times before. top speed is a combination of many things power, gearing, handleing , and how fast the driver is willing to drive.

 

I questioned what fgm stood for, and now I know---finally gone mad. Driving over 80 in a zuk rivals any of Evil Knievel's stunts.

I am not crazy drove dirt track's a lot some round track's but WIFE will not let me do it !! your too old for that kind of foolishness
horse $hit I, am but she has stayed with me for 26 year's.but the time was right and my drafting partner was cooking..I know @95 is a bit too much,but when your 25' off his bumper and I know I can out brake him,well I just had to see.now @35'+ it got a little squirrelly but when I was able to close the gap.she did good,anyway now you guy's know I am nutz sort of.

mine'll do upwards o' ninety... but it'll take a lotta b@lls to hang there! With the 5" lift and the beautiful aerodynamics ofa cardboard brick... veeerrryy exciting to say the least.

In all reality.... I use mine as a DD and am on the SoCal feeways at 70-75mph daily with room to spare. The thing that I love the most is when a big ol' SUV pulls up and thinks that he's gonna pass me on the on-ramp and I just run her through the gears and that big ol' SUV is just a small image in the rear view mirror

Yep been there.it was a 70 shove it pick up same deal on rampI wish I had a camera LOL mad boy mad.

plus when I take it easy 26mpg now mind you mine is DD and 43 miles one way I love my Sammi!! any one want to buy a ford 02 sport trac?44k like new take up payments and will bring it the first 300 miles to you.

I run my DD in excess of 80mph every day 95 to 100 when someone pisses me off.All with no drafting.Guess I'm nuts to

 

I thought getting to 60 was good and maybe in the 70's down hill. Oh well, I have no real need to go fast in that thing. I have had other vehicles to do that in and they only got me in trouble.

 

I was driving home from the Bloomsburg truck show in PA a few years ago in my zuk, and my wife was following me with my 4Runner and said that there times in the trip that I was doing between 80-90 mph. I thought that there was no way in hell that that was possible in a sami.

110mph....NOT BS'ing either! And that was with the 1.6 16 valve in my ZUk with 33X15.50 Swamper SX's on it with 5.12 gearing. Some people may think I am nuts, but it was very comfortable up to about 100 and handled beautifully. Now with the 2.0 liter and the same gearing I haven't been over 100mph since the dash starts shaking too bad with the unbalanced 35" Boggers on it. It does get up to speed fast!

I hit 160 once.. oh wait that was on my motorcycle....LOL...what a rush...

I think I got up to 90 once when it was stock... the wind was just right... down hill....


I remember giving it all it had, wind coming right at me, and all I could do was 35.. a semi would pass, I would try to draft and go from 35 instantly to 70, and they would get pissed at me being behind them...

Now with the 1.6 16valve I easily drive 65-70 daily. not flooring it.
