We are very hot on the East Coast of Canada,,with the humidity , we are sitting at a "feel like" 101 or 38 degrees. My jeepster is sweating. This is unusual for us as it is almost 3 weeks of heat and we normally get a few days. Any suggestions on keeping that jeepster cool? Maybe take her bonnet off, eh Hurc?

I never realy looked in their catalog for vents so they might still have them. I have two FJ40 bodies Ive used for parts and there isn't much left so I figured I might start cutting on them. My brother inlaw knows a guy that is building a four door FJ40 out of two. He mentioned doing that but I dont think Im up to it right now....

Thanks for the pictures,,that type of vent would certainly make a big difference. I still think a forward scoop up top would work as well. It might even give the heater more air for the winter,,to heat that is,.
thanks Bob.

I likes them louvers AND the side scoops. Must look into further! On that 12v swamp cooler idea- Dont laugh. When I was a kid, we actually HAD an "automotive" swamp cooler in the family's 1960 Corvair. It sat right up front under the dash, on the floor and every time we went on an weekend outing to the mountains, I'd fill up the cooler before we'd go. It worked quite well actually.

I use a 12 volt swamp cooler all the time in my Jeepster. It's a portable thing, about the size of a small ice chest. I lash it down behind the front seat, or set it on the floor of the right seat if nobody's riding shotgun.
Works great when the weather's dry and 115 degrees. Not as good as refrigeration, but very effective, and the engine doesn't need to run, windows don't even have to be closed. I can let it run while away from the vehicle for awhile, then when I get back it's nice and cool inside.
Fill it a little too full and it starts spraying a fine mist out too, really nice.
I move it from the Jeepster to the motorhome, depending on where I need it.
A friend had it for years, gave it to me.
I don't know who makes them, never seen one like it.
I've been thinking that would make a good little side business for me, making them.
I think I could turn them out for about $80, if there was much of a demand.
