Is this worth $29,000? It is kind of a new cool to have a special edition, but I don't know, seems like too much cake. Too bad it's not like a special CJ edition or something. Here are some pics and sausage links . . .

I recently purchased one of these...yes I know, most don't approve, but seriously who cares. This is a tricked out rubicon straight out of the box. The hella light bar is totally awesome and very capable of turning night into day. Plus it all comes from the factory so its all integrated flawlessly. The wheels are also a nice touch. However I am a bit confused over the numbering system of these. Apparently only 1,005 were built but I received #1,039. The dealer told me that they began with the number 1000 but this was proved wrong when I saw one on ebay numbered 0010 and again I saw 0001 on the internet. I can't imagine that I was douped into buying a fake, seeing how this is certainly a TR Rubicon, bought new from a 5 star dealer. I just am curious if anyone knows how jeep numbered these vehicles and how many were ACTUALLY produced. Most I've seen are softops, but my came with a hardtop only. Perhaps that has something to do with it. I would appreciate any response to this because I am left wondering. Please email me at AVALONLANDING@AOL.com

They had one at the DC Route 66 event out here a month or so ago (I drove a Rubi on their little off-road course and drove the snot out of a Pacifica and a Hemi Ram 2500 quad-cab). I snapped a few pics which I can post when I get home. It's got MT/Alcoa wheels, 35" Mickey Thompson, Skyjacker long-arm lift, Hanson bumpers, Bushwacker flares...interior is pretty much all custom. I'd take a *real* one without blinking an eye, but that crap they're marketing is just plain cheezy. I'm a computer geek and it has ZERO appeal to me. You could probably buy a new Rubi and add the *real* stuff to it for about the same money.
