Is it the weephole leaking on the waterpump ? Maybe the thermostat housing ? Rent a pressure tester and pump it to 15 psi and you will see where it is leaking . Sorry to hear about your motor trouble , hopefully it isnt too serious .

Do you know what maintenance was done to the engine. Suzuki recomends a new waterpump and timing belt at 80,000. The seal on the waterpump goes on them around that time so they recomend it a preventative maintenance. Sounds like it could be your problem.

 

It could be the coolant tube out the back of the water pump.
there is only an o-ring sealing it in, or it may be rusty.
more things to take a look at.

 

Well, I got a closer look today and confirmed that it is coming from the water pump either the back or underneath at a pretty steady drip. Whats the easiest way to determine if it's the water pump or seals?

Yank them. The tube in back is held in by 2-3 bolts and then you just yank it out (towards the back of the motor)
there should be 1-2 small hoses coming from the intake manafold to them, one of those may be leaking. You did hook up and tighten the heater core lines right?
(This pretains to the 8v's for sure and I "Think" the 16v is like them.)

 

Yup all the hoses are tight. I could see it dripping from underneath the pump last night. Sean DeVinney is sending me a waterpump, can't be the service from Aftermarket4x4!!!

Glad to heat you got it diagnosed. If your engine is like the 1.3 and 8-valve and has the rubber o-ring gasket in the rear of the wtyaer pump where the collector tube 'plugs' in, I would change that too. I didn't and mine started leaking there a few days after I changed the water pump
