I need a new CV shaft and won't have an extra $300 for another new one anytime soon. (getting married in May, rings and honeymoons are killers

) I figure I can pick up a used tj/xj front shaft for cheap, have it shortened, and use the flange from my old cv shaft so the bolt threads are right. I'm thinking probably a $100 or so for everything. Any reason this won't work?
