the only thing I could think of would be a special crimper for the hose clamp that holds the boot on. Although I would hardly call it special, a set of knippers would work. I had to have the aluminum housing replaced on mine to get it to quit leaking. The counterbore that the seal fits in was oversize or out of round, probably from replacing the seal three or four times. I would also think that it would be pretty easy to distort the bore, prying the old one out. I have my old housing here at my desk, the counterbore measures 2.570-2.571 inches. My .02
