Hi my old fenders on my CJ i quite rusty.
and i might have to change them.
will my new fenders have to be CJ fenders or will YJ fenders give a better fit of the TJ fenders i will mount soon ?
from pictures it seem that the YJ will be the best.

what are your comments and ideas ?

I don't know for sure, but I seem to remember that YJ fenders worked better with the TJ flares. Maybe somebody with more info will chime in...

i have them on my yj and i think they look sweet and line up better i would go with yj fenders

I did YJ fenders on the CJ with TJ flares. There will be less cuting and modification on the YJ fender vs the CJ to make the TJ flare fit.

If you use factory YJ fenders, the fit to the CJ hood and radiator shell is pretty good, but might require a little fitting.

Definitely more work on a cj but they open the wheel wells up so much. Here is my 1986 in the early rebuild (best shot of flares).
