You don't say what rims you have. If it's the factory 15X8's, you can do away with most of the rubbing by adjusting the steering stops. There's nothing to it -- just place washers on the little bolts sticking out of the bottom of the steering knuckle (part name could be incorrect, I'm no expert mechanic, but they're obvious once you get under there) until you have no rub, or only a little. Personally I have 3 washers per side on my 99TJ with factory 15X8's and 32X11.5 BFG's and a 2 inch lift. There's still a little rubbing at full lock, and I plan to get some new rims soon with 4-4.5" of backspacing. The factory 5.25-5.5" backspacing is just too deep.
