This is for all you guys that have upgraded you're battery cables like i'm in the process of doing now.My question is is it necessary to retain the original ground(from batt. to engine)when grounding straight to the chassis?Or is it better to retain it and run a "double ground"?I did a search and could'nt find the info I need.I also read the tech right up on alternator wire upgrade but am not too sure if I need to keep the original ground from battery to engine.

Agreed.......you can never have too much grounds.

I suggest 2 ga batt to eng, 6-8 ga batt to chassis, and 6-8 ga eng to chassis.

Ok,one more question and I'll let this post get burried. Why is it necessary to have the engine grounded?I'm probably missing the obvious answer here but oh well. Sorry to bring this post back up,but I'm one of those guys that allways has to know why.
