this is why we don;t like long pipes

this is a pretty steep incline..about 45*, but not very long. my fron wheels are on the summit of it. my pipes are obviously a bit too close to the ground for comfort. my next system will be quite a bit shorter. feel free to laugh at me. i knew little about off-roading when i had it done. it makes me laugh to think that i paid to have this done to my truck.

yup, i kep the hith in to protect them. they are out way too far. this isn;t extreme territory...its theedge of a parking lot. I just figured I'd show ya'll why you don;t want this. some think it looks cool...but it really just looks stupid. live and learn though

wel fortunately here at colelge nobody knows anything about off-roading or waht it takles to have an off-roading machine. icould tell them I"d do better on any train becasue its bigger than a jeep and they'd belive. they just think that i must have some sort of a super engine to rumble like that...and its even better because it has 2 pipes. my next system will be magnaflow, with stainless tips....easier to keep looking clean and no rusting problem. I think I"ll keep em out the back...well either that or run stacks....its still up in the air as of now. it'll be a while before i really need a new system anyways.

I think a singe 3 set up would be the best route to take, cant really tell you what muffler is better than the other but right now Ive got a magnaflow sitting in my room, till I find the time to weld it in. it seems to be far superoir to the mufflers Ive had, flowtech terminater, cherry bomb brand muffler..
with the it is a stright though design except it just makes a gradul curve inside the mufler, you can actully see all the way through it, and it maintains the pipe size all the way through..

can you tell Ive got it stuck on my mind

I'm gonna agree with Evan, single 3" is the way to go. FWIW..the Walker Ultra-Flo is much the same design as that Magnaflow you're in love with /wwwthreads_images/icons/tongue.gif, and they sound pretty darn similar. Deep and mellow, not tinny.

Whatever you do, please don't cut your bed up for stacks. We did it once on this truck:

It was less than 10 feet tall! I swear!

And it lasted all of 15 minutes before somebody ran it into the garage and ripped it out. /wwwthreads_images/icons/cool.gif

Last pic is at the Woodward Dream Cruise...we got in a German automobile magazine for that! And it is amazing what you can do with spraypaint. /wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif

Yea, I wouldn't do that to a truck worth more than $500 either. /wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif

It was pretty cool, that Mazda has oil control issues, so it smokes BADLY. With the stack hooked up and functioning, you'd swear it was a diesel in need of an overhaul! We woulda left the stack on it, but it was held on by one tack weld at that point, and it broke off as I was towing it around downtown Pontiac, Michigan. Now it has some flex pipe running from the stock manifold out the side of the truck...you should be able to see it in that last pic. Sounds like a cessna. /wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif

haven;t e all done something like that with an old POS? thats how ya learn....i"ll bet that little truck had about no torque with a pipe that big.

2 liter 4 cylinders weren't meant to have torque. /wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif

It does burnouts like a champ though. bring it up to ~5000 rpm, dump the clutch in first, and enjoy the smoke show. /wwwthreads_images/icons/cool.gif
