i got a question about swapping trannys.. my dad has a 76 blazer with a 400 and a th400 tranny in it.. well the tranny went out of it. We have a th350 out of a 76 car, will this trans go into the truck, or do you have to use some sort of adapter or anything? thanks

For the main part you will be better of rebuilding the th400 or getting another 4x4 one. The th350 has a diffrent spline count on the output shaft (27 on th350 to 32 on th400). Also the length of the output shaft is probably to long since its from a car. This mean the output shft has to be changed by taking th tranny apart. Also the bolt pattern on the back of the tranny is diffrent. So a diffrent adapter would be needed.
