I am installing a tranny temp gauge for my TF999 transmission.

Problem is: I don't know where to put the sensor. There are alot of plugged holes, I just don't know which one I can use. Anyone know? I have attached a pic of my tranny (from years ago before I installed).

Re: TF999 emp sensor location?

1. Cut the input to the radiator cooler.
2. This line carries the hot ATF to the cooler,
3. And more accurately reflects the internal transmission temp.
4. Install a Brass "T" close to the transmission,
5. Install the sender in this "T".
6. You could also monitor the Output in the same manner.

Re: TF999 emp sensor location?

Larry, thanks for the reply.

How do I tell which is the in and which is the out?

I'm going to hate cutting into that new SS tubing. Do you think I will have to do anything other than to slip the tubing over the end and tighten with a hose clamp? Will the pressure be too high for this type of connection?

Leve, thanks for the info! Where did you get this picture? I don't remember seeing this in the factory shop manual. Maybe from a parts book?
