Hey Guys; Been off a couple of weeks, been sick as all hell!!! Listen I'm thinking of relocating to Columbia Tenn. Could use all the help I can get. Any one that lives there that could put me in the right direction for work, it would be a great help. In or around Columbia. My wife can transfer her job, thats a plus, but i still need one so I can keep up with this off road lifestyle. I'm goin down in about three more weeks to try and secure housing. So any and all help would be Greatly Appreciated!! Thanks Ahead, George; P.S. Like Mr. Rodgers always says; Would you be my neighbor? LOLOLOLOL 3--------

an idea in the area, good paying factory jobs are either Saturn in columbia, or you have the nissan plant in smyrna, not terribly far. if you are looking into 4x4 stores there is , Tennessee Off Road (TOR) that is in nashville, not sure the distance to nashville. there is also a 4x4 shop in murfresboro - essintially off road. the links to both the places are below

Can't really add to anything. I do know that Nissan will be hiring very soon, 'cuz they added a new line. Columbia is close to several cities that have great job opportunities. I don't think you'll have a hard time finding work. There is also some great riding in & around Columbia. You'll spend more time scouting trails than scouting work!!

Barn Works is a great place, the people there are very helpful. They even do some trading around on parts & such.

EOR is up-n-coming. They've got a mean 4-link down pat----'cept they put it on every vehicle they do. Exact same. I've been up there taking some measurments, plus they've got a RTI ramp in the parking lot.

I think you'll enjoy TN. I know I do!! Lots of places to ride (don't forget Monteagle). Great people. Everything here is in a more laid-back style, forget the hustle & bustle. Just don't bring no damn yankee attitude with ya!

Holler when you decide what you're gonna do, we'll hook up & do some riding. You gotta buy the
though. Damn Yankee.

Cool George. PM me when you get the details set. I'm only about an hour or so from there, shouldn't be a problem to hook up. You'll have to head over this way too though, we just opened our own shop & have awesome riding around here.

I just drove through Columbia last week. Don't know if you've been there or not, but it's pretty nice.

Lemme know how long you're gonna be in town & I'll head over that way to hook up with ya. I'll just bring my own
, all my poison comes from bud---don't drink that bitter sh!t you yanks drink.

i am originally from cookeville, and familiar with crossville and even hanging limb. beautiful area there. i dont know of anything off the top of my head. here is a link to the local news paper

http://www.herald-citizen.com/

and there is a 4wd club for the area, i believe that is was called something slong the lines of cumberland 4 wheelers, or something along that nature. go to i zook, there is a build up of a track/kick- that guy is in cookeville and very friendly and helpful - give him a yell. ill look and see what else i can find, but thats it for now.

good luck

On Rockrat's board there is a guy that goes by "biggerhammer", he is from Crossville. His name is Kirk & he's come to a few of our local rides. Rat's Den click here to get to the board. Drop Kirk a line, he might be able to help out.

Cumberland Off-Road is the club in the area. I've seen some nice vehicles at some of the rides. Very well organized. They have meetings once or twice a month. Definately check them out if you come up this way.
