Temp gauge on my cj5 fluctuates. It pegs all the way hot when I am idealing and at faster speed it will come down a little then go back up. I replaced the
sending unit and the thermastate. the gas gauge works fine. Any suggestions

Just a couple ideas: check for bare wire contact somewhere in the circuit; make sure the ground to that instrument and the dash as a whole is in good shape.

1. Fill out your Profile...
2. Are the symptoms consistant?
If no, then look again at the gauge. Install a mechanical gauge to check the correctness of the electronic gauge.
If yes, then look at:
a. Look for a restricted radiator core.
Chemically flush or;
Recore.
b. Chemically reverse flush the engine block.
c. Collapsing Radiator Hoses.
