My temp gague on my '94 YJ 4 cyl. has always run between 175 and 208. It has never varied in winter or summer. This morning coming to work it constantly moved back and forth between 175 and just barely past 210. It didn't matter if I was on the highway at 70mph or at a red light.
I know this dosen't sound serious, but I get nervous when anything changes. It has 116K miles but the engine was rebuilt about 35K miles ago. Anybody know if there might be a problem in my near future with this? Thanks.

check the t-stat, check the coolent level, check the water pump........that is about it....if you had the engin rebuilt by a good mechanic, he probably installed a new t-sat.....but who knows.

might also want to replace the temp sender unit. On my 91 YJ, it has two temp senders, one for the computer and one for the gauge. The one for the gauge is located at the rear of the engine block, sorta on top. $11 part may solve your problem.
