This morning I left a "Booger" /wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif and now I'm "A Fluke", what do ya think? I had time to think long and hard today, no internet, my terminal expired in its own vomit this morning about 05:30 am. When I returned home this evening I had to do a service call at the local watering hole, BBQ joint/Rib shack establishment. I was looking for my Amprobe with the large clamp and bingo, hence the name. There have been a few times when I have been an electrical tester myself, Fluke makes the best testers. Sometimes when I've been lazy in the past I used to lick them fingers, /wwwthreads_images/icons/wink.gif and well, I know Dave would know what I'm talking about, but anyway I had to give up 64 posts, and being a journeyman and now I'm a stranger. What a #*^&%! Later everyone.

/wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif Hey,....that's a good idea!/wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif You could even go with Fluke87 or whatever year your Jeep is just to get a bit more "flow" to the name./wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif

Not bad ex-Booger/wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif! Fluke can raise a lot of questions can't it? "What's the fluke, your rig, your handle, that you never break "etc./wwwthreads_images/icons/wink.gif
I think it has some real possibilities. Good luck and Peace.

There are definitely some possibilities with this name. I think the FLUKE multimeters are the best or one of the best made. We used to use them in my electronics class when I was in highschool. I went to Fry's Electronics to see how much they cost, and I saw that they cost about 300 smackers, so I turned around and waled out of the store with my twenty bucks. I still don't have one, but I sure would like one so I know I could rely on it. Anyway, take care and enjoy the new name.

If a mime cusses does his mother wash his hands with soap?

Fluke definitely has the best meters but HP has the best scope! The HP Infinium 1.5GHz rocks!!
Nice user name though (sure beats booger! /wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif).

Yeah, I have used many a Fluke, great meters. Last one cost about $500, but work paid for it and it was worth every penny. They didn't want to spend the money, but after it's first use I called and told them it paid for itself. After that every time I used it to diagnose a problem and correct it, I'd call and tell hom much money I saved them, they never questioned any purchases I made from then on.

Fluke is a great name, one to be proud of and protray with style and flair (or flare if you used your wet fingers for electrical work). Congrats and it's too bad they can't front you the 64 posts you lost, get you back on track.

Good name, as long as Fluke doesn't come after you for using their name. (I'm not an attorney.) I might be tempted to modify it slightly per CJ Dave's idea just to be safe, though. Some companies get pretty wound up over the use of their names.

Happy Jeepin' Everybody! George

What's in a ranking put on by a forum?? As long as you like being FLUKE and have a helluva good time in your JEEP, that's all that matters.
