I have an AMC 360 with Howell (GM) EFI and I remember something about
a tach signal filter on the wireing harness.
will this filter work with the TFI coil or will I need a different
filter of some sort.

The Howell used the same distributor and coil, so the TFI coil is a direct replacement/ upgrade.
All you need to do is change the coil connector, coil bracket, and coil wire to the distributor.
The entire Ford large cap upgrade can be done with a Howell with no problems at all.
One just rolled out of the shop two hours ago, and the owner just called ten minutes ago delighted with it.

Remember to use the tach adaptor or tach source provided by Howell to get the correct tach reading.

I have been in contact with the folks at Howell, and they tell me their new literature will cover this very upgrade.
