Well the diagnosis on the 435 came back and it is screwed. It can be fixed but not on my budget. So I scrounged up a T18 and am planning to look it over myself(I need to save as much as possible). Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should look for besides the obvious bearings and broken gears. The trans turns smoothly in all gears but I want to make sure it doesn't blow up on me until I can save some cash for a propper rebuild.

Also look for a worn out reverse/1st gear. The gear is not sincroed and usually gets ground upon heavily. The edges of the teeth will be rounded off. Also look for excessive brass or shiney metal in the bottom of the case.
