the J truck tranny isnt really ideal if you get into it above $200

if you can get a J truck T18 and then a cheap Ford T18 too, then you can swap th parts out, assuminbg you can get a Ford T18 cheaper than $180, ive seen them from $25-$400

I found another supposed factory CJ T18 for $400, Im going to check it out in the next day or so..
if it isnt ( my hopes arent high), Ill end up with a J truck T18/dana 20 combo and Ill convert it too.

its still better than the usual $800 price tag, and it isnt even comparable to a T150..get that 3 speed crap out of there!

the shaft alone ( not the "KIT") is approx $89 from Hicks
the bearing retainer is like $30.

I dont know what else comes in the KIT though.

actually BRADCO, its the 6 cyl version that has the 6.5 input

the V8 versions are LONG input shaft.

well Bradco, I hate to do it again BUT

from 1980 to 1983 J20s could be had with a T18/NP208 combo.
